Course Objectives:
This practical course introduces students to the financial backbone of film and television production. Students will learn how budgets are built, tracked, and closed, and how Production Accountants and Accounting Assistants support producers, line producers, and production managers. Emphasis is placed on real-world workflows, paperwork, payroll, cost reporting, and professional communication. The course is designed to prepare students for entry-level production accounting roles on independent and studio productions.
