Starting January 2026, The International Film Institute of New York, with support from Great Point Studios, will launch an innovative motion picture training program designed to complement existing academic offerings at colleges and universities. This initiative features both credit and non-credit courses available through The University of Mount Saint Vincent, ensuring academic recognition and flexibility for participating students.
The program aims to position Great Point Studios as a valuable academic resource, providing institutions with access to cutting-edge technology and collaborative opportunities not typically available on traditional campuses. By creating campus extensions, shared resources will be leveraged to enhance scholarly activities and practical learning experiences.
This collaboration fosters a mutually beneficial environment, expanding the educational toolkit of higher education institutions while integrating real-world industry insights and advanced studio capabilities. The program is set to enrich curricula, support faculty and student growth, and bridge the gap between academia and the evolving demands of the film and media industries.
